A fusion of live visual art and dance, Hypnagogia is the experience of drifting consciousness and the transitional state from wakefulness to sleep.
Hypnagogia refers to the sensory experience of transitioning between phases of sleep and wakefulness. This contemporary dance work unfolds through visual art and dance to create a surreal world of drifting forms, shadows and patterns that occur in that intermediate state of consciousness.

As the hypnagogic state is one I am (frustratingly) familiar with, I decided to approach the formation of this work by exploring this phenomenon physically through others body’s, music, and art.
