Anna Seymour is an Australian born dance artist, performer, and creative producer based in London.

Anna trained in contemporary dance at Deakin University in Melbourne and has worked with different choreographers and companies as well as creating her own work. Anna began her acting career in Melbourne with Deafferent Theatre (Black is the Colour) and ABC TV’s comedy series Get Krack!n.

Anna moved to London in 2020 to dance with Candoco Dance Company, an international dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers. With Candoco, she has performed Set and Reset/Reset (Trisha Brown), Last Shelter (Jeanine Durning), Face In (Yasmeen Giodder) and Over and Over (Dan Daw Creative Projects). Dancing Set and Reset/Reset at BAM in New York and winning a Bessie Award for Outstanding Revival is a proud career highlight. Anna has presented works in venues including The Tate Modern, Southbank Centre and Wellcome Collection in London.

Anna appeared in a BSL version of The Vagina Monologues with Deafinitely Theatre (2023) and performed the lead in The Promise, a Deafinitely Theatre / Lyric Hammersmith / Birmingham Rep / co-production (2024). Anna recently played a supporting actress role in a thriller feature film RETREAT, directed by Ted Evans featuring an all Deaf cast.

Anna’s recent/current works are SPIN, Mini SPIN, Resist and AfterGlow. She is also part of the International Contemporary Dance Collective as a dance researcher for the Wales Collective. Anna is passionate about using movement as a tool for connection, pleasure, individual and collective resilience.
